On 19 March 2005 the Code for the Industrial Property will become effective in Italy and gather together all laws on patents, utility models, designs, trademarks, etc. in a single text.
The Code, to which some amendments should already be made in short, shows new aspects such as the recognition of domain names as distinctive signs or, for instance, concerning the renewal of
trademarks (art. 16), secret information (art. 98), precautionary measures (art. 132) and the continuation of the procedure (art. 192).
