The Court has published an implementation roadmap

The Unified Patent Court Preparatory Committee has published a roadmap indicating that the full operativity of the Court, which should be able to receive and handle cases, will start on April 1st, 2023.
This date would imply that the sunrise period to file applications to opt-out from the unified jurisdiction would start on January 1st, 2023.
The publication from the Court states that the roadmap reflects the current state of the project, and thus might be subject to changes. In fact, the dates indicated are conditioned by the ratification of the Unified Patent Court Agreement by Germany, which will effectively trigger the start of the sunrise period and of the Court itself.
In any event, it is advisable to get prepared beforehand so as to be ready by the end of 2022.
