Starting from 1 April 2014 the official fees due to the European Patent Office will increase by approximately 4-5%.
Certain fees will be subject to a more significant increase, such as the search and the appeal fees which will be increased by approximately 10% and 50% respectively.

The new fee schedule will also include the fees for divisional applications of second or subsequent generation which will be filed from 1 April 2014. This is in line with the new provisions on divisional applications which will also become effective on 1 April 2014.
